|SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested Clayton Louis Scherber, 22, after a brief chase Friday afternoon.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the entire incident started when they were called out to a disturbance, but Scherber was already in his car and leaving by the time they got there.
Scherber then allegedly led deputies on a “short pursuit” before he stopped his vehicle near Bulverde Rd. and Smithson Valley Rd. Deputies confirmed he was on Snapchat during the chase, but we are not currently sharing the video.
However, Scherber didn’t give himself up immediately after pulling over.
Deputies say he took out a knife and held it to his neck, refusing to leave the locked car. Negotiation tactics were used and deputies said they were ultimately able to convince him to drop the knife and get out of the car.
Scherber is now facing an evading arrest charge and was released after posting his $4,000 bond. Posted by Abdul
