Christopher Wallace is now a member of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
Like 2Pac was in 2017, The Notorious B.I.G. has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of the 2020 class. He will join Whitney Houston, The Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode and T. Rex. Biggie Smalls becomes the seventh hip-hop act (and second solo act) to make the Hall — following Pac, N.W.A. (2016), Public Enemy (2012), The Beastie Boys (2012), Run DMC (2009) and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five (2007).
His close friend, Diddy, couldn’t contain his excitement…
Meanwhile, his mother Voletta Wallace spoke to Billboard about the achievement. “Today, I’m feeling great,” she began. “As a mother, I’m extremely proud of his accomplishments. You know, I still see such a young man at a young age, and sadly, he’s not here to witness all this. But it’s an astute honor, and as a mother, I’m just elated for that.”
The induction ceremony will be held at Cleveland’s Public Hall on May 2nd, and as usual will air live on HBO. Tickets for the ceremony go on sale on February 27th.
